Co-education causes non performing students to drop out. At the end of the term when an academic roll call is conducted either on the notice board or at the assembly hall, the non performing students or pupils may drop out or may not have interest in joining the class in the ensuing term or semester. The non performing students dropping out are wholly as a result of feeling shy in the presence of the opposite sex. In this case, co-education must be wiped out completely from the system of schooling because it does not enhance academic performance and advancement.

Lastly, single sex school become versatile in doing certain activities that may be reserved for only men or women and boys or girls. In male schools, they are made to sweep and scrub whiles women in female schools are also made to clear bushes. In this way, single sex school students are trained to do the work that may be reserved for male or female students in co-education. Co-education will reserve certain task for certain sex group and as a result will not equip the other sex with skills to do the same work.
