WHAT IT MEANS: We benefit when we develop the power to control our emotions. While a little anger can sometimes be justified, an uncontrollable anger is destructive. Modern researchers point out that angry people often say or do things they later regret.
WHAT YOU CAN DO: Learn to control your anger before it controls you. Although some people think that uncontrolled anger is a sign of strength, we need to realize that it is in fact a sign of weakness. Like a ruined city without a wall, it is man who cannot control his temper. One practical way to control anger is to know the facts before you react. "A man's judgment really reduces his anger. We do well to listen carefully to both sides of a topic, which can help calm our feelings.

Be grateful
WHAT IT MEANS: It has been said that only a grateful person can be happy. Even those who have suffered heavy losses can attest to this. They stress that the key to their emotional survival was not focusing on what they lacked, but something to be grateful for.
WHAT YOU CAN DO: Make a list of the things you are grateful for every day. These things don't have to be important. It also reflects the little things like a beautiful sunrise, a beautiful conversation with a loved one, or just another day to experience. These positive things can greatly improve your emotional health if you stop looking at them and enjoying them.
It can be especially helpful to think about why you are grateful to your family and friends. When you've found out what you value in other people, let them know in person or via letter, email, or text. It will likely strengthen your relationships and allow you to feel the joy of giving.
