Assalamu Alaikum

I'd like to talk to you about Surah Al-Imran verse 165 for a very specific reason. It is a challenging topic that many people ask: "Why has Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala placed us in tough times?" They want to know why they have to experience such hardship in light of what they have done. How can I know which is the true reason when people claim that something horrible happened because "I did something evil, since it was my fault or Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala meant to test me like that"? And then there are some who, whenever they are in danger, blame themselves. Only "Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is just" is said. I must have acted inappropriately toward my parents or in some other way, and as a result, my car must have been involved in an accident. They change their attention from the invisible to the world of light.

Several passages will now aid us in understanding. On the one hand, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala states, as in this verse: Awa lamma asabaktum michlayha musibatunqad asabatum

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala states, "When you are afflicted with a calamity, such as occurred before your enemy and you defeated them," referring to the Muslims' challenging circumstances in the Battle of Uhud.

(Quad Asabatum Michlayha) "You have damaged your adversaries twice as much in the past year."

Qbultum Hatha, Anna

How is this possible, you asked? How is this possible for God to allow?

Anfusikum qbul hua min a'indi

Say, "It's because of what's inside of you," to them. It's clear who it came from among you. It is solely as a result of your error.

In fact, everything can be done by Inna Allah A'Lakulli Shay-in Qadir Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. In other words, if Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala had not desired it, it would not have occurred. Even if Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is able to stop tragedy, He nonetheless permits it to occur. And you alone are actually to blame. Another verse in the Qur'an is attributed to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

Asab min musibatinilla bi-ijhni allah

No disaster, not even a disaster, can strike you without Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala's consent.

How can you reconcile the fact that, on the one hand, it was your fault and, on the other, it was Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala's blessing? I want to talk to you about this subject very briefly so that, in the name of Allah, everything is clear. Other passages in the Qur'an make it very evident that when misfortune strikes, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala states, "Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala allows it to happen." Like the Muslims experienced a great deal of hardship in Mecca, didn't they? In Makkah, they suffered persecution. It is from Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala at that very moment, the Almighty is speaking. Be tolerant. However, the archers disregarded orders to remain in their assigned positions during the battle of Uhud, which put the Muslim soldiers in dangerous situations and led to numerous deaths. Even the Prophet of Allah (pbuh) suffered fatal injuries and passed out, forcing them to flee to the mountains.

Ith Tusa'iduna wa la ahadin You are alert. till you turn to face someone.

You cannot claim that all of this occurred as a result of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala's will during this time. Not at all. It's all your fault.

A'indi anfusikum, Hua min

We are discussing individual accountability through this verse.
