We all love getting free stuff and the same applies to getting free cryptocurrency. Whether it is from completing social media tasks to get that airdrop sent to your wallet, retweeting some projects promotion on Twitter or playing with Faucets to get micropayments every hour.....
First The Background Story
It was during 2018 that the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase bought the U.S. startup Earn.com. In a deal worth more than $120 million. Earn.com used the blockchain for its paid-email service. in
Coinbase appointed co-founder and CEO of Earn.com, Balaii Srinivasan, as its first CTO. While the rest of the Earn.com staff were to transfer over to the Coinbase team.
In December 2018 Coinbase launched Coinbase Earn, using a similar concept to Earn.com's, where you got paid in Bitcoin for completing tasks and receiving emails.
It was February 2019 that Coinbase officially closed down Earn.com and requested all account holders withdraw any Bitcoin held in their account be transferred to their Coinbase account or their Bitcoin wallet address.
(I had a small amount of Bitcoin sitting in my Earn.com account which I had been unable to withdraw, due to not being able to verify my account. Now with the option of linking my Coinbase account, I could finally get it out. Just needed the market value of Bitcoin to reach a certain level, so the value of the Bitcoin in my Earn.com account would reach the minimum withdrawal threshold of $US2.00. Don't laugh $2 is $2, the lengths some people (me) will go to Stack Some Sats.....)
Coinbase Earn allows users to earn cryptocurrencies, while learning about them in a simple and engaging way. The idea is for users to understand more about a digital asset's utility and it's underlying technology, while getting a bit of the digital asset to try out.
Ox (ZRX) was the first digital asset available on Coinbase Earn and to manage demand was in invite-only mode. Once you received your invite you were able to watch 3 short educational videos and complete a simple quiz at the end of each video. For watching each Ox (ZRX) video you earn a small amount of the token which went straight to your Coinbase Ox (ZRX) account.
This is what I received for watching one of the 3 Ox (ZRX) short educational videos. Yes I know it was only $US1. But Coinbase Earn has in conjunction with their sponsors increased the amounts you are able to earn up to $50/52 per digital asset.
How to get the FREE Stellar Lumens (XLM) Tokens
Coinbase Earn has a series of 5 short educational videos about the Stellar Lumens network. Stellar Lumens is a decentralised platform that allows cheap and fast money transfer services for the average person and banks alike.
There are 2 methods of earning the free Stellar Lumens (XLM) tokens.
#1 Use the referral link https://coinbase.com/earn/xlm/invite/5tj4xfpb if you do not have an existing Coinbase account.
#2 Use the referral link https://coinbase.com/earn/xlm/invite/5tj4xfpb if you already have an active Coinbase account.
Method #1
Using the referral link takes you to the following page where you are invited to join Coinbase Earn.
You will need to click on Create an Account and follow all the steps to create a Coinbase account. It is a relatively quick and easy process these days. It took my wife 10 minutes to create and get her account verified. You will need one form of identification and a verifiable address. As you are not buying cryptocurrency at this stage, you will not need to add a credit/debit card.
Once your Coinbase account has been verified. Login in and on the Home page scroll down to the bottom of the page till you see Earn free crypto with Coinbase Earn banner. Click on the blue button Earn crypto.
Click the blue button Get started. Depending on demand at the time you may get put on a waitlist. I have found that referrals generally don't have to wait as long existing customers. It usually is about a 2 day to 2 week wait. They are meant to send you an email advising you are now invited but that doesn't always happen and I would advise you check regularly by logging into Coinbase and go to the Coinbase Earn banner on the home page.

Lesson 4 is a short video about banks, businesses and people use Stellar. After you answer a simple quiz at the end. Ka-ching you receive $US2 of XLM.
Lesson 5 is a short video explaining how Stellar protects digital assets. After you answer a simple quiz at the end. Ka-ching you receive $US2 of XLM.
Now the bulk of the amount of Stellar Lumens (XLM) you can earn is from referring 4 other people with your referral. Click on the blue button Earn $40 XLM
Your referrals can be new or existing customers. You can invite more than 4 friends or people in your networks but only the first 4 referrals will count. You can use the Share button or you can just copy and paste the referral link.
Method #2
Using the referral link takes you to the same page as in Method #1 but as you are already an existing Coinbase customer you just need to click on Sign in to Coinbase. Once you have logged in, you scroll down to the Coinbase Earn banner on the home page. Then just follow the rest of the steps as described in Method #1.
