As a book lover I often find myself nose deep on the latest bestseller, be it an autobiography, fantasy, science fiction, horror, adventure mystery, you name it I read it.
But what really are the benefits of my almost obsession with the pages of a book, and should others start reading books?
Well the answer is simple, if you want to be transported to a world unlike your own then read if not then, just skip this article because it's going to be all for book readers as well as the curious ones amongst us.

If you are an outgoing and social person who doesn't have the time to read a book, then I have a few reasons why you should just grab a cup of tea, set yourself in a comfy place and READ A BOOK!

You ready to get started, if yes then let's begin counting down reasons why you should read books.

Gives You a New Outlook on Life.

Books are a treasure chest of knowledge and advice, other times books are a gate way out of reality so it's not unlikely that you'll find some books to be life-changing.

For example self-help books like The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari this tale tells you a charismatic tale and guides you to the point that wealth is not everything, yet you'll never truly know that you've grasped the content until you ponder the idea brought forth in the book.

Some books are written through the eyes of another this allowed you to experience a lot of what the character within the pages of the book you are reading.

An easy example is of a very popular book called the Hunger Games, this book follows the life of Katniss Everdeen, a young girl living in a post apocalyptic world that sends children (Known as Tributes) to fight to the death as entertainment for the wealthier citizens and is also a political tool to extinguish any rebellion.

At first, you'll cheer for her as an underdog but through her narrative you get to see what she sees, feel what she feels, know what she knows and also learn.

Reading makes you smarter.

Through reading, you can broaden your understanding of A topic you love, for example you've been enchanted by the universe, the study of dark matter, heavenly bodies and so much more so you look for any option to learn about it.
Many leading researchers in their fields have written and published numerous books and articles about their fields.

Reading also helps you with your grammar and spelling without you even knowing that you're getting better.
If you spot something more that a few times in your life then chances are you'll be able to recognize it even without knowing you did.

A simple word being used frequently will cause you to remember it without any hassle of stress. So if your having trouble with spellings and grammar, just read a book.

Reading Books enhances creativity.

Creativity is one of the things that has been too underrated over the years.
If you've ever talked to a book enthusiasts, they'll tell you that one of the reasons that they love reading so much is that they get to be transported to another world.

Take JK Rowling's Harry Potter, this book about a young wizard who at the age of twelve finds out about the magic world and is to attend a prestigious magic school call Hogwarts. Finding friends as well as a lethal Dark Lord who is hell-bent on destroying him.
Throughout his years in the school, Harry balances an array of things, friends trials, secrets and an ever looming threat to his life.

This book series created a cult following that just gets bigger and bigger because of one thing. Creativity.
JK Rowling created a work of art that resonates to the masses and gives them a sense of being a part of something phenomenally big through her books. These books also went on to become huge film franchises and are still raking in dollars till this day.
I for one have two sets of her books as well as others like Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

They allow you to Learn from The Best.

As I said in the begging of this article, there are a lot of specialists in their fields that publish a loot of books and articles.

I believe that in order to learn and become great you will need to learn from your mistakes but most importantly, the mistakes of others that have reached where you want to go.

Take A biography or autobiography of a person you look up to and learn from their lives, study their techniques and learn from their faults.

Books hold a distinct magic in them, the hold the weight of history as well as the passion of a writer. Through their pages we learn of world different from our own and world's that have been. So read a book and get transported another world, who knows you might like it.
