The world's largest cinema chain AMC Entertainment has announced that customers can now pay with crypto money for their online shopping.
Announcing in the summer that they will start selling cryptocurrencies on their online platforms, AMC CEO Adam Aron announced on Friday that this plan has been implemented as of today.
Stating that AMC customers can pay with bitcoin, ether, bitcoin cash and litecoin at the initial stage, Aron added that the next crypto currency they will accept will be dogecoin.
AMC, which released its third-quarter annual report this week, reported revenue of $763.2 million for the quarter, beating Wall Street analysts' expectation of $708.3 million.
During his meeting with shareholders, Adam Aron said that the necessary integration to add dogecoin to its payment options may have been achieved “in the first quarter of 2022”.
In addition to these, AMC Entertainment is also researching how the Shiba Inu (SHIB) can be included in the payment options.
