As technology keeps advancing every day, it becomes something everyone in the world knows about. People are taking a huge step and doing so well when it comes to NFTs.

In the beginning of this year, the boss of Final Fantasy's publisher, face series of backlash from developers and players, over his over hype of NFTs.

Back in January 2022 there was a letter published by Square Enix Boss named Yosuke Matsuda hyping NFTs and looking forward to when video games will take advantage of NFTs and blockchain technology in the future.

Not looking at the criticism coming from both developers and players about the his letters, he proceed by explaining how happy he is about new blockchain tech. During his last interview with Yahoo Japan Matsuda told how they will take the advantage of the new blockchain technology to feature in every games from Square Enix in the future.

He explained further that most content available in their games are always finished product, which the gamers played. But there are many players around the world who wants to make things looks more fun by contributing and creating new ways of playing game.

What is the plan?

Matsuda told that Square Enix is now looking for a way to develope an interesting game that will continue to evolve over time, so that creator and players can be rewarded using NFTs and blockchain technology.

They can encourage people who contribute to the development by making use of blockchain technology, there is a chance that, they will be able to create modern and interesting content using users ideas.

Know that I like the mentality that creators who created beautiful levels and PC mod for games such as Dreams get paid for their work. This type of game and the likes of Super Mario Maker always depends on a small group of people creating good stuff for the rest of the playerbase. I like it that these creators should be getting rewards for their work, because with their work, they've make games more interesting and more enjoyable. But sometimes instead of using NFTs to pay through blockchain technology, instead we can just pay creator using money, no blocks of chains needed.

However, upon all the backlash he received over the NFTs stuff, Matsuda did not stop pushing for what's in his mind, he explained that while many people play game just for fun, there are some who play games to contribute, so Square Enix just have to motivate these players, like Matsuda already said in his recent interview with Yahoo Japan, no actual specifics were shared.

Square Enix is likely to put in more effort for the popular bored apes high value jpegs and wasteful, destructive crypto tech, till investors get tired of it. They won't allow any criticism to stop them from what they've planned to do.

Matsuda and Square Enix are now looking forward to work with some game publishers and studios that want the same goals as theirs, in bringing NFTs to video games. Game company like Ubisoft have tried to do this in 2021 when they announced that they're bringing NFT gear into Ghost Recon, which I don't really think people are still playing that game.

There is more opportunities and more profits to be made if Matsuda plans come true. It was reported recently that a hacker hack into Axie Infinity system and wire more than 600 million due to a security exploit. But this did not stop this game company putting more effort on NFT games because they knew what they can make from it.
