Netflix's Trivia Quest: The latest in Netflix’s interactive series

Netflix is adding to its interactive catalogue with a newly announced series titled Trivia Quest which is set to launch on April 1st.

Unlike Black Mirror: Bandersnatch or Cat Burglar that was launched some weeks — Trivia Quest is a narrative interactive experience which involves prompts for players to answer questions. Correctly answering the game’s questions will help to move the story along and it will also help the main protagonist, willy, who vows to free hostages captured by a villain called 'Evil Rocky'.

Judging by the graphics, it might look like it could be more directed at kids, but there is a 'hard mode'.

Netflix Trivia Quest will begin to drop Quest each day starting from April, with 30 episodes in total, new episode dropping every day of April.

Each episode will include 24 trivia questions in a multiple-choice format.

Questions will includes topics, from science to entertainment, art, sports, geography and history. The game is based on Etermax’s Trivia Crack, which The New York Times reports was licensed by Netflix.

The game will be available on mobile devices Android and tablets, Apple, supported smart TVs, set-top boxes, and consoles; as well as on web. Unsupported devices currently include Apple TV, some Chromecast devices (not including those with Google TV), Tesla touch screens, browsers using Silverlight, and the Netflix app on Windows.

Players will have the chance to replay quest they may have previously missed and answer it correctly to rack up some points. Each individual quiz “features a definitive ending but you’ll have to play to see.”
