I can't ignore this because it's fleeting and carelessness leads to loss. I refer, again, to the beauty of autumn. The way plants prepare their leaves for death. I mean the beautiful way they choose to die. Maybe they want to convey that they have no regrets. Hydrangea, one of my favorite flowers, is now showing its leaves. They look even more beautiful to me than the flowers. #photography #nature

There was a time when I used to get up very early in the morning to catch the sunrise. I could see it then because I lived in another city, on the top floor of a ten-story building. I miss those times. I accidentally found photos from back then and remembered...

To think it's only been a month since I was looking out the window at these sunflowers. Now they're gone. How quickly time passes! From such small examples, we can see the passage of time, otherwise, if we are not careful, we realize that years have passed us by without us even noticing.

@BlueDan

Autumn is also the season of fairs. Here is a fair in the courtyard of the Romanian Peasant Museum in Bucharest. This is a wonderful museum, who visits Romania should visit this museum if he wants to understand something about these people. Unfortunately, this pandemic has stopped both travel and visits to the museums. The fair is set up in the courtyard of the museum and being outdoors it is less dangerous to get infected with Covid.

A special season, good weather with sunshine and pleasant temperature, a beautiful park. Everything you need for a pleasant walk. I've noticed that over the last two years walking has remained the most consistent activity. Autumn is that special season. A sunny autumn day is unparalleled in beauty and a must-see time to go image hunting. As a city dweller, I have access to the beauty of autumn nature in the parks.

@BlueDan

I love all animals. For a long time in my life, I had dogs. Unfortunately, only dogs that didn't love cats. So I never had cats. I like cats but I think it's late to settle for one now. I'm left to admire them from a distance!

@BlueDan

I can't and I can't get the sea out of my head! If I stay awhile and let my thoughts move freely they take me to the sea. I think that it has only been two months since I was at the seaside and that I will have to wait at least another seven months before I can go back there. That is if nothing bad happens until then! A street in Balchik, Bulgaria. I love streets that slope down to the sea. #photography

@BlueDan

Do you like windows? Come to think of it, I like windows best in a house. I try to imagine what the house would be like without windows, without being able to look outside. I can't imagine, even in prison, in the cell, there is a small window. Of course, I know that humans can adapt to any situation and probably would survive even without windows in the house but I think life would be much sadder. #photography

@BlueDan

I can't get enough of this fall and need to keep enjoying the colors it brings. I know there are only a few more days left for these leaves before they hit the ground and their light fades. Perhaps some have grown bored with so many of these photos. But they reflect the beauty of nature at this moment that must not be lost. In a month's time, when everything will be grey and wet we will not have forgotten the fiery red! #photography

I saw a young lady and I really liked the way she looked... I liked the way she matched her hairstyle with her clothes. I love it when I see people like that who have the time and strength to think about how things can be brought into harmony. I think she feels good about her image, I feel good looking at her!

@BlueDan

Yesterday I had some work in the city center and from there I had to go to a friend's house. To get to her house, I had to cross a park. The park is called Cismigiu and is the oldest park in my city, Bucharest. Bucharest, the capital of Romania. It's not a big park, but it has a lot of things packed into it. Kiosks, playgrounds, many statues, a restaurant called Monte Carlo. A famous restaurant many years ago, when I was a kid. Back then, in the 1960s, it was a celebration…

Today I was on a visit. I visited a park dear to me, the Circus Park. There I met two exceptional painters. Nature and Autumn! They gave me a painting. Their latest painting, which they painted at the very moment we met. I must show it to you... Bucharest, 12 November 2021 #photography #nature

It's been a long time since I've put up a flower. Flowers are everywhere, but a botanical garden is their home. One of the most beautiful gardens is in the city of Iasi, where I lived for almost a year. We visit the garden every weekend. I even have a lot of photos. Today I want to show you the dahlia! #photography

How far away childhood is from us now, of course, in different proportions depending on our age. Even the youngest teenagers try to run away from childhood as quickly as possible, not knowing what they are missing. They will find out much later...

@BlueDan

The very nice weather encourages me to enjoy the city parks. As well as the autumn colors, much in evidence here, I'm also drawn to the little creatures that have found a home in the parks. Especially the birds. Here they are protected and receive food from those who walk and enjoy them. Children especially.

@BlueDan

Tuesday is the tree day! I mean I usually write about trees. That's been happening where I've been writing for over four years. A colleague from there, who is also a colleague here, @old-guy-photos, has devised a challenge called TreeTuesday. It's a photo challenge and it would be easy to put only photos of trees but, being a blog site, you need, besides the photos, to have some interesting, attractive text. It's not easy!

With autumn comes nostalgia. The images of summer, their light, and joy. Beyond the sweltering heat that I can hardly bear, summer remains my favorite season. Just as the football team I loved as a child has remained my favorite, even if it is not as good anymore. In the same way, summer was my childhood dream and it will remain so, even if in over sixty years it has changed a lot... #photography

The first beach I saw on the island of Thassos, on my first trip there. After getting off the ferry, we got on the road towards Limenaria, the small town where we were staying. I looked towards the sea and saw a man and a woman on a small undeveloped beach, a beach just for them. I liked them very much and suddenly it occurred to me that they were Adam and Eve! Later, when I looked at the photo more closely, I saw that there was someone else in the water that somehow spoiled…

End of season. That's when I find holidays attractive, at the end of the season when there are few tourists left. No crowds, no excessive heat, cheaper, there are plenty of arguments to recommend the end of the season. Nostalgia for a time gone by, nostalgia for the end of the holiday, nostalgia for the end of summer, and the desire to return next year.

@BlueDan

I love so much the flowers that fight to the end, I think of their life as a fight against the winter enemy that will defeat them until the end. But they will die beautifully and, thankfully, autumn still protects them. This weekend has been wonderful. I hope yours was too!

@BlueDan

The joys of summer, which I associate with the joys of vacation, with a brief part of life in which I forget about burdens and obligations, are increasingly distant. Their colors fade, fade slowly, slowly...

@BlueDan

When it's summer and warm outside I remember the cool moments of fall and winter and now, when it's too cool, I remember and miss the warmth of summer. I could say that I am eternally unhappy but I am not, I also know how to enjoy each season. Summer heat I most often associate with the sea but today I was reminded of walking through the city center where the concrete buildings, the asphalt and the burning sun turn everything into a huge furnace. When I think of that I…

@BlueDan

I do it belatedly but I have to say that I love the special numbers, as I'm sure you do too. I can't get past this first impressive number of my followers. Thank you all! At the same time I know that the number itself doesn't mean as much as it seems, certainly a lot of these followers are no longer active or interested in me. There is however a group I can call my friends, whom I see daily and am grateful for their interest! We all went from follower to friend and that…

@BlueDan

There is nothing better than seeing the joy of children. I am smitten with my granddaughter and am happy whenever I go with her to the park, to the playground. It's not easy with such a young child, who doesn't know what the forbidden and "no can do" means! It is not easy but it fills me with joy her sincerity, her desire to have it all, her belief that everything is possible and allowed. I don't even remember the time when I probably believed the same!

@BlueDan

That's what it's like in my courtyard this fall. I think it looks like the rainy season that our colleagues who only have two seasons keep talking about. I don't know how the rainy season manifests itself, does it rain all the time? I don't think that's possible, it probably just rains every day. Their advantage is that they know when it will rain, we in the four seasons don't know when it will rain. We have, of course, the most accurate information now, I remember from my…
