Supercross Squad
I really am excited for these finals. As I type this line, it's 2:09pm EST so I have 50 minutes to get this out before the finals. We need better Supercross and Motocross coverage and BlocKade is coming to the rescue. Who knows, maybe BarstoolSports will start covering it and put me on the podcasting/writing/reporting roster. That being said, I need to be paid in Crypto and not fiat. HODL.
250 East Finals Preview
This one is down to Chase Sexton and Shane McElrath. Chase Sexton is a big Taylor Swift fan. Shane is very religious and open about his faith and seems to think God will be gifting him this title. I guess you may need to think someone in the heavens is looking out for your well-being the way he blitzes through the loops. Besides, the 250 East looks like a triage tent of carnage w/ the number of fast/factory riders that are on the sidelines Shane is 67 points clear of third place with 186 points and Chase is in the lead with 192. Shane could have tied it up with a win last week (or moved ahead if Chase got anything but 2nd).
I think next year things will be a lot closer next year when all the injured riders return with wheelie-ing and whipping vengence. Things will really be interesting considering the finals are a combined East Coast-West Coast triple-jumping throw-down. It's kind of like East Coast and West Coast rap. They're different but they have a lot of similarities. 35 minutes to gate drop as I type this line. HODL.
250 West Finals Preview
This one looks to be a battle between Dylan Ferrandis and Austin Forkner. Dylan's rockin' 181 points and Forker has earned 174 points for twisting that green throttle of his. Justin Cooper has an outside chance with 164 points if Dylan and Austin completely choke, take each other out, or go to Moto-Yolo. Austin is from Oklahoma and comes from a farming family I believe. He kind of reminds me of Kenny "the Cowboy" Bartram, the freestyle motocross rider. Whereas Kenny does heel clickers, Austin just clicks off laps...when he's not crashing out.
Dylan is from France and won last year. He got a little help from the competition last year but it definitely looks like it wasn't a fluke. Getting two in a row is a big deal and he'll definitely earn this one. He had a pretty crazy take out of a rider earlier this year but has been riding fairly clean since then. He also has been taken out himself recently. He nose-wheelied into the face of the triple after another rider got his wheel in between his two wheels and kicked up his back end. He got up and recovered like a champ. I like that he doesn't complain very much or make excuses. He just does it and wants.
I used to live in a 15th century Maison de Forte and can speak a little French myself.

450 Finals Preview
This one is down to Cooper Webb and Eli Tomac. Eli is living at elevation with 366 points. Cooper Webb is livin' on a 4-stroke prayer with 344 points.
Cooper won last year and surprised a lot of people. Eli has won a lot of supercross races but has never gotten the title. He wants to add one to the 3 (in a row, homie) Motocross titles he has. Barring a DNF mechanical or crashing out, it looks like he's finally going to wrap it up this time and it'll be well deserved.
Eli isn't the most talkative guy when he's being interviewed. He kind of reminds me of a hybrid between Mark Zuckerberg and Kawhi Leonard. He's like Kawhi in that he's a man of few words. He's like Mark in his mannerisms and the way he acts. Mark Z wants to take over the world with Facebook and Libra. Eli wants to take over the Moto/Supercross world. He could go down as being one of the greats when he's done.
Final Thoughts
It's 2:52pm as I type this line. I don't have time to proofread or check for spelling mistakes. I need to order some FederalHillPizza and make sure my 12GunsBrewing and CannedHeat beer is ready to go when the gate drops. I'll hit you guys up with a post-race report.
Then, it's off to Motocross Season. Time to pound a cold-one pre-race. It's 2:56pm. #YOLOSQADRON
