The Crush ng Bayan Mr. Ian Veneracion, the lead actor of "A Love To Kill" Netflix Series together with his youngest son Duccio was here in our town yesterday. In some photos they were seen wearing the traditional costume of Indigenous People of our town. I only knew he was here when I saw manang First Lady's photos with Sir Ian in front of a mall just across their house, huhuhaha! Their team was welcomed and served with the famous delicacy of our town, "sinapid nga mais" or grated corn with butter, coconut milk, sugar, and condensed milk wrapped in it's skin and then boiled for 30-40 minutes. This famous delicacy was featured in Unang Hirit last year. Buti pa sis Sir Ian natikman na ang famous delicacy namin for you can only taste this if you will climb the mountainous part of the town. Though we're there in the IP community few years ago for a mission but it was early in July so maybe we're early for harvest time. And only one old lady knows how to make this traditional delicacy that was passed down to her from her grandmother. Sir Ian was here to meet the elders for he chose indigenous people of our town as one of the beneficiaries on his concert "Ninuno" that will be held in the city tomorrow at 7pm. I can't make it to his concert for mama and our puppies are sick and red na red pa naman si BCH, but for sure many of our kababayans will be there to support him and I'm always a fan of papa Ian. Handsome na, loyal na loyal pa sa wifey niya, sana all 😁. Photo credits to our dear mayor and manang First Lady, municipal tourism, and Vivien, the daughter of "sinapid na mais" master.
