Back in December 2017, I had the pleasure of visiting the David Sheldrick Wildlife Orphanage in the heart of the city in the sun or simply, Nairobi.
My eyes witnessed the absurdity of extreme poaching and the impact these inhumane actions bring about.
Kiko
Before he got this close and I started questioning whether he was really eighteen months old only, he was up to no good :D
He had tried taking Maisha's share of their afternoon milk. Can you see the warden trying to stop him from doing it? :D
Was quite disappointed when the milk was through without having a taste and the way Maisha (the elephant facing the camera) happily freed the scene seemed to make it worse :D
So he decided to walk past me and mingle with the visitors. After we were all there because of him and the baby elephants.
The David Sheldrick Wildlife Orphanage primarily cares for baby elephants and baby rhinos after they are deserted in the wild due to poaching. He was taken in after getting into a fight with adult giraffes at the Giraffe Manor but that's a story for another day!
Thank you dear for capture some animal photos. It's looking good. Also you capture those photos beautifully. I really like your photography style. I think you keep it up
