Post Covid19 :Boost by Government of India to Food Sector.

As the food industry less suffer in Covid19 crisis,due to so many approval to start during lockdown,But than also food sector needs fund to strengthen it's daily workout.

The government of India has announcement for promotion of agri & food processing sector 2020:

These are following-

1,Rs.100000crore to strengthen agri farm-For Post harvest storage & Cold chain.

2,Rs.2000crore for the development of Marin & Inland Fisheries.

3,Rs.13343 crore for vaccination of live stock in India.

4,Rs.500crore for Development of Bee -keeping.

5,Legal frame work to support farmers to fix their own price for products.

6,Rs.1000crore scheme for formalization of micro food enterprise(MFE) on cluster based approach.

7,Rs.15000crore have been allocated for development of dairy infrastructure & cattle feed.

8,Rs.4000crore for growing of herbal & medicinal plants in India.

9,Rs.500crore for Extension of Operation Green to all fruit and vegetables.

10,Agriculture marketing reforms to provide marketing Choice to farmers.

Out of above for all industry ,which includes food industry also Rs.20000crore will be infused as subordinate debt for stressed MSME, And Collateral free Automatic Loan for MSME.

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) became the focal point for managing activities in the country under the umbrella of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and implemented the following actions.

 ·       ICAR started to assess the possible impact on agriculture and allied sectors and provided measures to lower its negative effect on the local food system.

·       Crop-specific safety measures regarding harvesting, post-harvest operations were advised to the farmers by ICAR experts.

·       Special attention was given to rabi season crops like wheat and barley as their harvesting time is around the corner.

·       Experts also advised farmers to postpone wheat harvest which was about to give record harvest after the great monsoon.

·       Responsibilities were given to local field agencies to ensure hassle-free movement of agricultural produce and related machinery to reinstate farming activities.
