After a long night
I was walking up to
The building in which
I was assigned to live ,
Made of concrete
Painted a drab tan ,
The sand and rocks
Crunching underneath
My boots as i walked
When I saw the man
I often see
Sitting on the beach
Near the main entrance
With his headphones on
And vapors spilling
From his mouth and nose
As I got close ,
We made eye contact
So I nodded and then
Gave a beat to my chest
With a closed fist
He beat his chest back
And smiled to the teeth
While he rose from his seat
To walk to the door
And open it for me
I said thank you
While i smiled,
On the inside and the out,
Then I walked to my room
Where i wrote this piece .
Is so lovely to be kind, in future we can see someone to pay us back for the kindness altitude we did
