The Autopsy Of Jane Doe (87%)

The Autopsy of Jane Doe is a super interesting film. A body appears at a morgue, with no information on how she died or who she is, thus she is given the title of a Jane Doe. Strange things begin to happen to the coroners who begin investigating her death.

Slowly, the plot gets revealed as supernatural occurrences start happening in the morgue and the coroners begin wondering if Jane Doe is really dead or if something else is going on.

The Invitation (88%)

Another hidden gem on Netflix, The Invitation will take audience members on a journey they never saw coming, much like that of the main characters. It's been a while since Will saw his ex-wife Eden and their home together, so when he is invited to a dinner party by Eden and her new husband David, Will feels pretty reluctant to go.

His new girlfriend, Kira encourages him since all his old friends will be there, and he is still fairly close to Eden and David. However, things begin to get weird and Will feels like Eden and David, who have been acting strangely out of character, may have something dark planned for their guests.

Creep (89%)

Creep is a found footage film that follows Josef and Aaron. Aaron is a videographer who takes an assignment to help Josef make a documentary for his unborn child as he struggles with a brain tumor and feels like he won't be around when the child is born. However, Josef starts acting rather bizarre and makes Aaron pretty uncomfortable throughout the entire time of shooting.

As the story progresses, things get stranger and stranger. Aaron learns that Josef's "wife" was actually his sister and that he doesn't have a brain tumor at all. Josef's sister warns Aaron to get away because her brother is dangerous. Aaron escapes back to his home, but the madness doesn't stop there.

The Witch (90%)

The Witch is what horror fans like to call a "slow-burn." This film started a massive hype around A24's horror movies for being utterly chilling and quite mind-bending. It is set in 1630 New England and follows a family consumed by fear and paranoia at the loss of their youngest child, a baby.

The main character, Thomasin, is the oldest of the siblings and is thought to be a witch by her younger siblings, and is blamed by her parents for the baby's disappearance. This film will have viewers trying to figure out the ending. attempting to piece together each clue before the finale.

Gerald's Game (91%)

Gerald's Game is a Netflix original film based on one of Stephen King's novels. It involves an older couple who have been feeling pretty unsatisfied in their sex life, so to try and recompense, they go on a weekend getaway to a remote vacation home, with no neighbors around.

During a kinky game, Jessie is suddenly left totally alone when her husband, Gerald, gets a heart attack and drops dead on top of her. Handcuffed to the bed, with no key nor anyone around, leaves Jessie in a particularly dark situation. This film will make you totally afraid of being alone and has some pretty gruesome scenes.

1922 (91%)

1922 is another Stephen King adaptation created by Netflix and focuses on a protagonist who perfectly fits the bill of Stephen King. This film is about a farmer whose crops aren't doing so well and a wife that drives him crazy.

He loves his son, and he would do anything to keep his boy by his side instead of going off with his mother who wants to go to the big city. So, the farmer does something drastic. 1922 focuses a lot on manifested guilt and regret, and the consequences of your actions.

Hush (93%)

Hush is a home invasion film with a pretty big twist: the homeowner is deaf. Because of this, she faces different obstacles than regular home invasion films and has different ways to avoid and trap the invader. It will have you cheering for the lead time and time again.

Train To Busan (94%)

A Korean zombie horror film, Train To Busan is action-packed and highly rated. As a father tries to get his daughter back to her mother where he thinks she'll be safe, a zombie virus runs rampant.

Zombies are quick to turn in this film and are overall incredibly fast. As the main cast band together to try to get to safety, viewers will see the best and worst parts of humanity and how people really become in crisis mode.

Under The Shadow (99%)

Under the Shadow is a psychological horror movie and has an incredibly high rating on Rotten Tomatoes. This film focuses on a mother whose apartment building gets hit by a missile during the war between Iran and Iraq.

A superstitious building mate suggests that the missile was cursed and brought over a malevolent spirit

Creep 2 (100%)

Strangely enough, Creep 2 actually has the highest rating possible on Rotten Tomatoes and sits at 100%, this is pretty unheard of for horror movies and sequels alike so it should impress anyone willing to watch the film. This movie follows the events of the first one.

Josef, now going by Aaron, is up to his same old serial killer shenanigans but this time, decides to come right out and tell his victim from the beginning that he is a serial killer. It is a must-watch for any fan of the first film and any horror fan in general.
