North Queensland Lands a new Merchant - Kur Cow Barnwell Farm
Kur Cow farm sits at the top of the rainforest, a short drive from the scenic village of Kuranda in North Queensland. It is an amazing place for anyone who is interested in understanding nature and how a small farm runs.
Ken and his sister Helen reside at and run the day to day operations of the farm which has a herd consisting of 3 different breeds of cattle and many other animals creating a wonderful atmosphere. If you're into open spaces, green rolling hills and listening to the sounds of cows, horses, goats, ducks, geese and chickens then this is a really relaxing place to come and visit.
The property is surrounded by the amazing wet tropics rainforest heritage area and has the Barron River outskirt it. Visitors have plenty of options to take in the beauty of the rainforest through one of the many tours either on a quad bike (ATV) or on horse back with one of the trained staff.
Families have a great time with children loving a hay ride where they can see all of the different animals that the farm has to see. Being towed behind a tractor on a large carriage is a unique way to get around the farm. There is plenty of joy to be had by feeding all of the ducks, geese and chickens while on these tours.
