Did you know there's a Koala Hospital situated on Magnetic Island just off the coast of Townsville, North Queensland? This hospital is run by Izzy Bee and her parents and is the only Koala Hospital taking in sick and abandoned Koalas north of the Australia Zoo 1600 kilometres away!
The hospital was originally set up by veterinarian Dr Ali Bee and her husband Tim in the year 2000. The family expanded with the arrival of Isabella Rose Bee (aka Izzy aka The Koala Whisperer) in 2007.
Without donations, the hospital would cease to exist.
