Welcome to this nightly trip on which we will uncover & recover some amazing songs & covers.** Glad to have you back Dear Reader, it´s been a long week and still I had to hurry to finish this Midnight Gems Session on time. Why? Well, I am sure I will tell you that in a bit.

So I had to shuffle my decks again to make it just a bit broader for tonight's show. But of course, I couldn´t go without these daddies of the British sound. The Cure - The Lovecats https://youtu.be/mcUza_wWCfA No, The Cure was not all Dark forests and crying boys, they actually made this crazy happy catty song that is wonderfully pretty. I thought this type of weirdo songs were the specialty of the Eels. But this one needed just one play to stick itself to those few brain atoms I have left (yes I don´t think that I have enough left to complete a single cell). I totally forgot about this band when I lost the phone that had the SD card with them on it, but my Britt Trip pop up in a playlist. Glad to have found these guys again. It seemed that they had such a bright future back in the nineties, but as soon as the '00s hit they quickly disappeared. That problem is called Eurovision and these guys and girl won it, believe it or not. And this week I heard their latest single and saw the video. This is just gonna be a classic like November Rain if you ask me, but a lot shorter😁.
