"If you don't have time to read, you don't have the time (or the tools) to write. Simple as that." ~ Stephen King
If you want to be a good writer, you must read to understand what a good writer is.
A well-read text can learn about dialogue structure, plot speed, and the use of symbols and images to convey issues. For this reason, the following questions are asked:
How did the author make the conversation believable?
What does he do on the face to get him fascinated by the character?
What has he done at such a speed that I cannot refuse the book?
Which word choice brings the story to life?
What structure makes this book interesting?
Read some good writers for you to try. It also makes you humble. There is always a better writer than me. Likewise, on tough days, a well-written book can at least be my inspiration and motivation.
If you want to write good work, you must read them to understand what a bad job is. You can also learn to read bad words when asking each other's questions.
Why does this conversation sound weird?
Why does this chapter continue?
Why didn't you care about the role?
Why is my tongue not flowing?
Why don't you bother putting a book in the middle of the first chapter and putting it back?
"If you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot." ~ Stephen King
We all want to be a great writers. Everyone, everyone I know personally, we start with the bad writers. Reading is an improvement I also use it often.
