Here are some tips for determining if an email is legit.

1. Sender identification

Always check the "From:" address in the email.

Check if you were expecting a mail from the sender?

2. Check the link

Move your mouse pointer over the link to see the physical address of the site you want to visit, before you then click the link.

Images or buttons may contain links to potentially dangerous websites.

3. Don't trust attachments

Luno does not provide financial or business advice. Anyone who does this and claims to be from Luno (or has a partnership with Luno) is likely to try to deceive you.

Luno never (seriously, never) ask for passwords, 2FA codes, or one-time passwords. Even if they work in luno, don't share it with anyone.

Unless you've used an OTP to verify your account first, luno won't use SMS to ask you to do anything with your Luno account.
