What I call the "troll army" is mostly not regular "trolls".

Classic internet trolls are generally weak-minded attention seekers. It is best to just "not feed them".

What I call the "troll army" are the authors of posts and articles and videos by accounts I consider part of a massive and well-funded conspiracy on social media to do things like harm BCH and prop up fake Bitcoin projects (BTC/BSV). Their "agents" sometimes pretend to be the classic weak-minded trolls, but I believe they are following a playbook with talking points or are fooled real people just repeating the more professional dishonest social-engineering agents talking points.

I should probably not refer to those intentionally spreading dishonesty and toxicity as "trolls" because they are something different. If I am right, they have sophisticated and well educated management that can find a way around any efforts to root them out.

Only speaking truth to their lies (feeding them) will counter their efforts. There are so many and their tactics are often subtle. So far these professionals seem to be holding their own against the weak army of volunteers working to shine light on their dark lies.

I rarely provide evidence of my claims that there is an army of social engineering agents working to harm BCH and the dream of Bitcoin. This article was inspired by this nice post that does show some of the known evidence of the "conspiracy's" dirty tactics:
