Wisteria tree that is 144 years old
At the Ashikaga Flower Park in Tochigi Japan, you can come across a wisteria tree that is about 144 years old Isn't it amazing. Besides it is considered to be the most beautiful tree in the world.
Well, it is undoubtedly a very beautiful tree when it blooms, as its flowers hang vertically almost touching the ground and creating a pink and purple cloud that floats above the lawn. Not to mention that it measures about 1,990 square meters, which occupies half an acre.
It is important to note that the wisteria are not exactly trees, but vines that have become very heavy to the point of installing a metal structure to prevent them from falling down.
But, how is it pruned?
For this tree of the wisteria species to look like this, it is important to mention that they must encourage the development of as many lateral shoots or darts as possible. They do this the old-fashioned way, that is, they resort to a continuous pinching of the growing stems, being in this way really impressive.
Personally, it was an image that caught my attention, because it looks like a pink sky, something that, personally, seems completely unreal. However, as I mentioned before, the world never ceases to amaze us.
Japan has very impressive places, in fact, all countries in general have them, which is very impressive, incredible and interesting, because every amazing place has a great history, which someday we must know.
I hope you have liked and served this article.
Would you visit this great place?
Tell me, what did you think and what is your opinion about it?
Wow, this is one of a kind tree. It is very old and still flowering. The color purple looks magical. I would love to visit it one day.
