The train that has shocked the world with its great speed
China is a country that never ceases to amaze us, because it not only has an unparalleled museum or a train that only passes through a building, but also has a train capable of flying without wings and by this I mean that it is currently the fastest in the world.
You may think that I exaggerate a little, but the truth is that it is not so. There are testimonies about it where we mention that it is indeed the fastest, therefore, I will tell you the great story that this train leaves us and the exact place where we can find it or visualize it and live this great experience.
We can find it in Shanghai Maglev which is a high speed train line. This is a public transport, but not only that, this train besides being the fastest in the world is unique, because it is the only link in the world today where it transports passengers through magnetic levitation instead of conventional wheels on steel rails.
It operates with a speed of up to 600 kilometers per hour and all this thanks to the levitation system I mentioned before. This makes it float above the tracks so to speak. Not to mention that it was in production for 5 years.
The Maglev train makes it possible to make the route between Beijing and Shanghai in about 3.5 hours, which would take a normal high-speed train about 5.5 hours.
However, this train does not levitate constantly, that is, when it reaches a sufficient speed of approximately 100km/h it starts to produce enough energy to lift it.
There is a theory based on German technology that magnetic levitation trains fly on a completely elevated track. But, the powerful magnets provide a super smooth and frictionless ride. Impressive, isn't it?
But, recent good news is that China doesn't plan to stop with this train, i.e., it has plans to develop a magnetic levitation network, including a line between Shanghai and Hangzhou.
Personally, I hope to have a chance to take a trip on this train and live this great experience. China has wonderful places with stories to tell that will surely impress us.
