History is a marvel and even more so if they are places to fall in love with at first sight, as is the case with the Fukiware Waterfalls located in Japan. There, you will find a gradual erosion of the rocky mantle that has been there for more than 10 millennia, allowing the formation of these spectacular waterfalls. However, it is also known as the Japanese Niagara Falls having a height and width of 7.30 meters respectively.
The most incredible thing about this place is that these falls merge into a <<v>>. For this reason, as you walk along the paths you will feel as if all the water collapsed down a gigantic sinkhole. Not to mention, not only are there the falls but also the mysterious Hannya Rocks and Masutobi Falls, with a drop of 15 meters.
The formations that have been carved by the force of nature are truly inspiring
Reaching this place is considered very easy, because it can be reached by train or bus. For example, in Tokyo you can take the JR Joetsu bullet train that will take you to Jomo Kogen station, which will take you a maximum of one hour. Once you are at the station you can take the bus to this great inspiring place, which would also take about an hour.
They say that this place is majestic in autumn, so it is most visited at that time of the year to see the magnificent contrast between the yellows, ochers and reds of the foliage of the trees, but also with the blue and white foam of the water.
There is a suspension bridge over the falls that serves as a viewpoint to enjoy the best panoramic view of the area. However, it is closed between mid-December and April. But, you can also enjoy the famous Oigami Onsen hot springs complex that is located 4km from the place.
These beautiful waterfalls look like something out of a fairy tale, easily catching my attention and proving that nature can do incredible things that can inspire us just by admiring this exemplary panorama.
