Loving yourself is something very beautiful and appreciated, but honestly very complicated and here I explain why.

It is very easy to say "love yourself, be positive, smile'', but it is very difficult to execute it. Self-love is based on the acceptance of oneself, of one's mistakes, of what one considers "defects''.

The human being is very stubborn, so it is very difficult for him to face his fears and accept those things that are not right or have no basis to be taken into account.

This process of acceptance can lead the person to nights of sadness, where his tears come out alone, just for feeling inadequate, having low self-esteem, among other very painful thoughts, therefore, it is a process that takes time and desire to want to do it, to see your value as a person and to love yourself as you are.

I will leave you some tips that I hope will help you a lot in this process, based on my experience I recommend it:

  • Stay away from people who do not contribute anything good in your life: Sometimes we meet people who judge you and can easily humiliate you, make you feel that you do not belong and criticize absolutely everything about you, do not support you and only seek you for some interest.

  • Surround yourself with people with good hearts, who do not judge you, who are good friends and never lack mutual support. These people bring peace in your life, therefore, it is better to surround yourself with them.

  • Do some activity such as exercising or taking yoga classes: It is good to entertain yourself and be in peace, also take into account that your mental and physical health are important, and, by not taking care of your mental health it can affect your physical health, causing many diseases that are best avoided. You can also read a book, paint, dance, among others. Any recreational activity that you like can make changes in you.

  • Do things for you: Many times we do things to help others, when in reality it harms us, therefore, we must take into account if we are not going to be harmed, be honest with our thoughts and feelings about it.

Note: Remember that this takes time, so if you need to take some time (it doesn't matter if it's months), do it, dedicate yourself to you, to heal and to realize that you are worth a lot and for that, you deserve the best.
