Let's save our home together

A short time ago I was coming down from my house, finding a lot of garbage all around me and this kept happening as I was walking towards my destination. Then I asked myself at that moment, what is the point of throwing garbage in the street? When we know perfectly well that there are containers and other types of garbage cans to dispose of trash without having to pollute the environment in general.

Pollution as we know it is those substances and elements that not only harm other living beings, but humans as well. However, it is important to clarify that there are several methods of pollution, i.e., there is pollution through air, soil or even water. This is one of the topics I am going to talk about today.

It is important to emphasize that just as there are human beings who do not care about polluting, there are also others who want to save their homes, live longer and breathe a completely clean oxygen, but unfortunately they are very few, however some of these small groups have made some change in the country or city where they belong. No matter what corner of the planet they are from, they just want to save the earth in general.

The first consequence of pollution is climate change, where the temperature of the planet is progressively increasing, both the atmospheric temperature and the temperature of the seas and oceans.

The air is important for all the inhabitants of the planet earth, therefore it is of vital importance to take care of it, since, if we breathe polluted air we tend to get sick. One of the causes may be the fumes coming out of large industries, coming out of cars in the city, such as buses or trucks. Without leaving aside that if the water or the land is contaminated we would also have many problems, since they cannot be used to cultivate, drink, cook, among other things. Because it can cause us worse damage.

Now, months ago we were in a quarantine that we really did not expect to arrive. Everything started by a great disease that can be fatal in some cases, arising in such a way the total isolation, since this can be contaminated through the air and other ways more, starting this global pandemic in the year 2020, the world was paralyzed in general.

What I mean by all this is that, being isolated from the world for about two years, we realized how those animals that were about to become extinct came back to light, that is, they are no longer in that top. We were able to observe through photos or even videos how in the sea arrived species never seen before, however others returned to their home, a home that we were polluting before everything and we can not deny it, every time we go to the sea we see more garbage than usual, being this the first pollutant.

Then, every time we looked out a window to receive a ray of sunshine, we breathed clean air, really pure, among other things that was no longer polluted, where the earth began to heal and have every corner of it free of substances and really toxic elements, which not only affect other species, but also to us and that is what we must always take into account.

Now the question is, why can't we do it now that we are back to ''normal''?

How can we prevent pollution?

We are the only ones who can stop pollution. This is about changing habits step by step, so that we can reduce what we pollute. Therefore, I will leave you with some recommendations or ideas:

  • Use more sustainable and environmentally friendly public transportation. This is a good solution being less polluting than a car. But, also try to use a bicycle or walk more often.

  • Consume ecological products, as they do not contain chemical elements that can harm the environment. These are not only in food, but also in cosmetics, cleaning or fashion.

  • Recycle, there are organic waste containers where you can throw food, paper, dirt, ashes, among other waste.

  • Reduce the consumption of plastic is essential, because we tend to use a lot of plastic and most of it is single-use. It is estimated that the time of use of a plastic bag is 10 minutes, however it takes 400 years to degrade.

With this article I want to raise awareness and that many other people join this good cause, because we all come from the same planet, don't we? The union is the best ally and if we all put a little bit, we will make a big change.

It's never too late, we are on time to save our home, the planet!
