Surely when you look at the title of this article you will say that it is something "impossible" which is not so. There is a geographical peculiarity that allows you to walk from one country to another in less than half an hour. Although, I must admit that previously I did not believe it was possible either, however I came across a video that attracted my full attention, because it was about a person who makes possible the transit from the United States to Russia in less than half an hour. Isn't it incredible and interesting?

It is important to mention that Russia and the United States are on different continents, but even if the distance between them is not much, since they are closer than we think, that is, only 2.5 miles. However, when looking at a normal map like the one we are taught in schools or in books, you get the feeling that Russia and the United States are on totally opposite sides of each other, but the map is distorted and does not accurately show the distance between the two countries.

However, by locating each country on a globe we can verify that they are actually very close to each other, which is due to a territory that belongs to the United States being Alaska itself.

But this topic still does not cease to surprise us, because in the body of water between Alaska and Russia, also known as the Bering Strait there are two islands called Big Diomede which belongs to Russia and Little Diomede which belongs to the United States, so we could say that the stretch of water between these two islands is only 2.5 miles wide, thus being the distance between Russia and the United States.

Having said the above, we can say that it has been confirmed that if you can get from one country to another on foot in 20 minutes, but this can only happen during the winter, because the stretch of water of these two islands freezes during the winter, so it may be possible to walk from one country to another in this seasonal sea ice, which personally is very incredible.

Many people may not think of this area because they are not a famous place like Moscow or Los Angeles. The second reason, the place is so difficult to visit that even two of them don't seem to have innovation to penetrate the boundary or take advantage of it.

The pros side is that they may be away from the current political frenzy of the Russia-USA cold war and can relate well socially.
