This place is extremely curious, but its history is even more so because until a few decades ago this place was not even known by the inhabitants of the area. But, the really curious thing about this place is that everyone agrees that it is an accident of man's hand, which has become an authentic almost natural wonder. It is located near Gerlach, in the middle of the Black Rock Desert, in the northwest of the North American state of Nevada.

This is called the Fly Geyser, being an artificial terminal source of subterranean waters, which do not surpass the meter and a half of height. Its appearance not only surprises not only the inhabitants near the area, but also the tourists, calling their complete attention. It has golden, ocher, green and reddish tones in the rocks, which dot an arid landscape and other lacking in visual appeal. Without forgetting that its appearance in the mid 60's completely transformed the place.

It is important to note that since then it could be said that its structure remains virtually intact. However, its color is a consequence of an original combination of calcium carbonate sediments, gradually letting the waters slide over the same rocks, bacteria and thermophilic algae that are present in this site.

Its history is still something we must mention. During the year 1917 when they were prospecting at the Fly ranch, they found a spring of water, being this way undoubtedly the most scarce and precious good in desert lands. However, after their initial euphoria, the discovery was dismissed. But, the reason for the same was none other than the same temperature, since it was 100 degrees, which prevented it from being used for agricultural purposes.

This place was forgotten until a few years ago, being a surprise for everyone, because the spring began to spontaneously expel high pressure jets, these through different escape routes. Yes, a very unique geyser was born, being this one impressive.

Personally it is a very beautiful place, impressive and with a history not very common in the world, because, the reality is that the planet has great things. I must admit that I hope to visit this great place at some point. Without leaving aside that here a non-invasive distance is maintained, that is to say, the observation is made from an enabled platform. Isn't it impressive?
