Did you know that the sun is not made of fire?
It is a question that has crossed our minds at some point. Well, every day we have a fire coming from the sun above our heads, which has been burning for millions of years and will last for millions more. However, how can this be possible if the sun is in a place where there is no oxygen?
Well, it is important to clarify that the sun is not made of fire, however, its energy comes from the nuclear fusion of its core, where the temperature is more than 15 million degrees and the pressure is completely immense. It fuses helium and hydrogen atoms, releasing energy in the form of light and heat in the process. Not to mention that every second it converts 600 million tons of hydrogen into 596 million tons of helium. Not to mention that the remaining 4 million tons of matter are converted into energy, being a process that will last a long time, to be exact about 5,000 million years.
In this way I must point out that the photos we had previously of the sun were not completely clear, therefore, we could not visualize exactly the surface it has. But, the evolution of technology over the years made this possible a few weeks ago. The image that is going around the world!
Personally, this data is very necessary and interesting. Many times I wondered if the sun was really made entirely of fire, but research has clarified not only this question, but others, which I wanted to share in this article.
