Did you know that dance for the Egyptians was magic?
The Egyptians have a very interesting history and culture, which can easily attract attention. For this reason, it is important to talk about the dances that the Egyptians did and they were never missing in all aspects of society, since there were specific dances for war, funerals, religious festivals and even to help in the birth of a baby. Interesting, don't you think?
Before continuing I must emphasize that there is a ceramic figure from 3500 BC. It represents the position used by Egyptian women before starting a dance. It is mentioned that it seems to be a dance for a funeral ritual or dedication to the gods. However, this piece is extremely important, because it defines the importance that the dance will have throughout Egyptian history.
Previously it was mentioned that the dance was present in all areas of Egyptian society, both as enjoyment and religious expression. Without leaving aside that for them the dance represented magic and entertainment in the banquets that were made in the palaces surrounded by all kinds of food and drinks. Although, this also happened in the small houses of the people who inhabited the town, which were built with adobe and wooden sticks.
It's been 5000 years and after so much dancing is still a key element in the society.
Personally, I am completely attracted to everything related to Egyptian history and culture, since they contain so many interesting facts that I did not know before, thus being the dance part of it. However, I must emphasize that knowing that the dance still means magic today is really sensational, I hope to continue knowing a little more!
