What is "déjà vu"?

This is when at one point you feel that what happened to you a moment ago has already happened before, that what is happening to you has already happened to you and that you know exactly what will happen in the next moment.

And then you say the famous one: "Man, this has already happened to me, I've been here before, we've already talked about this!" It has happened to everyone to experience this feeling and to say to the person next to them: "Well, this, just this, it has already happened to me!", But few know that there are four types of this phenomenon

Many claim that at least once in their life they have experienced an unusual feeling that they have already seen or experienced something. What are the causes of the “déjà vu” phenomenon and why does it occur? There are numerous theories about this phenomenon, from being a long-suppressed memory, genetic memory, to reincarnation or a disorder… What is true and what is not?

Already experienced-Déjà veki (déjà expérimenté)

Not very often, but for sure, to feel like what we are saying or doing at a given moment, we have already talked or done, sometimes, maybe yesterday, maybe a hundred and a half years ago, irrelevant. And then, we know exactly what will be said and done in the second that follows. And everything here is clear, familiar, experienced, and faces, and objects, and circumstances. Many identify this sensation with "déjà vu", not finding a reason to dive into the nuances.

Already felt-Déjà senti (déjà ressenti),

In the case of the "Already felt" phenomenon, the same thing happens only on a purely emotional level, without what surrounds us. It would be someone internal, internal, intimate "already experienced".

In any case, the difference in relation to the "already experienced" is found in the fact that it is an exclusively mental event, and that such states, as opposed to the "already experienced", rarely remain in the memory. At least until the next "already felt".

Already visited-Déjà vizite (déjà visité)

The fact that it happens much less often that we feel like we have already been in a room, apartment, house or building, even though we are not realistically, should not be ignored. The rationalist school says that the "victim of what has already been visited" has read a lot about that place, so it seems to her that she has already visited it.

Already heard-Déjà entendi (déjà entendu, écouté)

The symptoms of "already heard" are absolutely close to "already seen" in the broadest sense, or "already experienced" in the narrower sense. Everything is the same, only this happens at the level of hearing. With "already heard", which is especially interesting, one has the illusion that the unusual flow "from today to yesterday and back" can be more easily controlled and prolonged with less effort than is the case with "already experienced".

So far, this has been closely studied in connection with epilepsy, because it often happens that patients experience this phenomenon before the attack.

The real reason why this happens to healthy people is not known, but what we know for sure is that the same parts of the brain are involved in which the information we receive is connected to our memory. This phenomenon is described as the result of a "delay" between what we see and the time it takes our brain to record a moment, and a "delay" can again occur due to a certain error in the nerve endings.

The term "déjà vu" came into use when the French philosopher and researcher Emil Borjak coined the term in 1876. Proponents of psychic phenomena soon associated this phenomenon with the existence of a past life, while early psychologists and psychiatrists discussed various theories to explain its existence.

Sigmund Freud attributed "déjà vu" to repressed desires, and one of the folk beliefs says that it is the result of accumulating life experience. However, scientists claim otherwise.

We can all agree on one thing, and that is that “déjà vu” things are something really phenomenal.
