When we mention electronic classical music, the first association is Vanessa May. Vanessa May was born in Singapore on October 27, 1978 as Vanessa Vankorn Nicholson, to a Thai-born father and a Chinese mother. She developed her talent for music from an early age at the Beijing Conservatory of Music and at the Royal College of Music in London.
She gained fame at the age of ten at the famous Schleswig-Holstein festival in Germany. In the nineties, she became planetarily popular when she mixed classical, pop and rock sound at concerts. The debut album "The Violin Player" from 1995 sold a record eight million copies in Britain at the time.
To date, she has sold more than 10 million albums and won more than 40 international awards for pop and classical music, and her performances and recordings have been followed by audiences in more than 100 countries. She has toured more than 50 countries and toured the planet several times! She has performed, among other things, in spectacular venues such as the Kremlin Castle in Moscow, Hyde Park in London, the Acropolis in Athens or the frozen Lake St. Moritz in Switzerland.
