·         Family is the frame in which the future adult child’s personality is formed, built. Children’s basic education is given at home and school only gives it the final shape. The reason for educators and families to cooperate, coordinate, and collaborate is to enhance learning opportunities, educational progress, and school success for students. Therefore, family-school interactions focus on what each partner can do to improve the development and learning of children and youth. In our situation today, parents really have a big role in child’s education. With schools closed, parents have had to take up the role of being both parent and teacher. At this time, most parents may feel like their space has been raided by their children and we are all trying to figure out how to balance between working from home and ensuring our children stay on track with their learning. We are all adapting to a new routine and as crazy and hectic it may seem, it is important that our children feel supported in their academics as this is also a new adjustment for them. The best we can do right now is to maintain constant communication between teachers and parents as a support on how we could both help the children learn as possible as we can in the midst of pandemic.
