Metal Band: Mayhem

The Norwegian black metal band, Mayhem, used the photograph of their dead bandmate (vocalist), Per Yngve 'Dead' Ohlin, as the album cover for the album 'Dawn of the Black Hearts'. Dead committed suicide by slitting his wrist and shotting his head in April 1991, and when his bandmate Øystein 'Euronymous' Aarseth found his dead body, instead of calling the cops, he bought a disposable camera and photographed the dead Dead. Also, it is said that Euronymous made a stew out of Dead's brain and made necklaces from his skull and gave it to other metal musicians Euronymous likes.
