The US navy is now developing laser cannon for its future warship, the US department of defense announced that the laser cannon is successfully tested on 2014 and it will be mounted in their naval ship in 2023 it will be the beginning of the modern age of laser weapons.

I can't say this is a plus to the US Navy however it a great one from them. I believe with this laser Canon it would make their weapons stronger and better to face enemies at war.
