~🌺Filipinos are the number one texting nation in the world. Filipinos send 400 million texts a day and it's around 142 billion texts a year. It's more than a US and EUROPE put together.

~🌺The country has a unique form of transportation. If you visit Manila you'll see some interesting vehicles called jeepney. There are about 50,000 thousand jeepneys in Manila and they all look different with basketball stars, cartoon characters, inspirational quotes, neon lights hanged on them. There two major problems with jeepneys safety concerns and pollution, they produce huge amounts of black smoke.

~🌺One of the islands has more volcanoes than towns. Among the islands that are part of it, the Camiguin shore stands out, with more volcanoes per square miles than any other island on the planet the island has 14 mi long (23 km) and 8.5 mi wide (14 km) and has 7 volcanoes and 5 towns.

~🌺The countries national flag has a secret meaning. The national flag of the Philippines has 2 bans of blue and red and a white triangle at the house with a yellow sun with rays that stands for each province in the country and the yellow stars that stand for the largest islands in the country which is Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao.

~🌺Boxing directly affects crime rates in the country. Filipinos love boxing and they're crazy about there most famous boxer Manny Pacquiao whenever he fights the whole country is glued to their TV sets and according to the Philippine National Police (PNP) crime rates in the country significantly drops when he's in the ring. During he's twelve round fight against American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. that went from 9 am to 3 pm not a single crime was committed in the whole Manila metropolitan area.

~🌺A lot of Filipinos work abroad. More than 11 million Filipinos work abroad it's around 11% of the population. 1/4 of all overseas nurses in the world are from the Philippines.

~🌺The countries Rice Terraces are the eighth wonder of the world. Banaue Rice Terraces is the oldest in the world, and we're so smartly to design that they still bring a harvest of rice and vegetables most of which get exported. And it is believed if the terraces are build from end to end it can stretch halfway around the world. They play an important role in the economy.

~🌺The country produces a lot of coconuts. For years, the Philippines had been the number one producer of coconuts in the world. And even though the leadership belongs to Indonesia, 153,532,000 tons per year is still an impressive number. These coconuts are used for anything from clothing to beauty products.

~🌺The first European to visit the Philippines is Ferdinand Magellan. The legendary explore made the first record archipalasyo's among the Europeans in 1521. He founded the first settlement in Cebu and most of the area become a Spanish Colony. This explains the fact that 90% of the population are Christians unlike most of the countries neighbors. In 1898 the Philippines went into US rule and later in 1946 became an independent republic.

~🌺A Filipino made the first karaoke machine. If you love to sing along you ought to thank Filipinos for your favorite past time. The first karaoke machine was created in 1975 by Roberto Del Rosario. He panted as the sing-along system and even though there where attempts to claim his creation he remains as the patten holder for the karaoke system.

~🌺The capital is the most densely populated in the world. The countries capital Manila and it's 16 surrounding cities that make up the Metro Manila have a population of 12.8 million people since day time the population gets even higher cause many people come here to work.

~🌺Philippines has 175 different languages are spoken but there are two official languages: Filipino (based on Tagalog) and English. Philippines are number 5 on the list of the world's top English speaking populations after the US, INDIA, PAKISTAN, and UK.

~🌺The population is extremely good looking. Along with their love for boxing, texting, and shopping, Filipinos are crazy about beauty pageants. They have won in all the major international pageants 15 times. 4 Miss Universe, 1 Miss World, 6 Miss International, 4 Miss Earth. The first official pageant is held in the country in 1908 and since 2001 it's not all about beauty and also for the promotion of environmental protection.
