I know you have a dream to own a fashion design business with branches around the world, you have always seen yourself piloting the affairs of a specific state as governor and so many other dreams in your heart which I am not disputing that they are valid.
Dreams are exciting to have but how many dreamers lived to see their DREAMS turn into realities? We have so many dreamers but only few of them actually see the fruit of their dreams. Do you know why? There are two major reasons;
DREAMS REQUIRES PROCESS TO BECOME REALITIES:
Your dreams are not automatically going to become realities, they will go through what is called process. The process here is not just a time where you don't have food to eat or nobody listening to you just like the brothers of Joseph and his parent didn't pay attention to his dreams.
The process I am talking about is what I call DREAMS PRUNING. Yes it is true that your dreams are valid but if they must turn into realities then not all the aspects of your dreams will be accepted, there will be need to prune out the areas that are not relevant.
When I finished my secondary school, I had a dream of becoming an accountant but guess what? Today I am not an accountant but a digital skills trainer, coach and content creator amongst other things. Do you know what happened? It is called DREAM PRUNING.
If you observe many of the great men and women you admire today, you will discover that they never ended up with all the dreams in their heart exactly the way it was rather the DREAMS were pruned.
So check your dreams right now, what are those areas that needs to be pruned? Sit down and begin to answer this question because it will help you move from being a dreamer to one who actually sees the realities of his or her dreams.
The other aspect of the process is what I call, COOKING YOUR DREAMS. When you take rice that is not cooked and serve it to people for them to eat, what do you think will happen? They will reject it and get angry at you because what was served as rice is yet to be cooked.
Sometimes not all rejections are bad in themselves rather they are signs that you have not cooked your dreams enough to that point where it is ready for serving your generation. Hope you know that your dreams are mainly to serve your generation? What you call DREAMS are just different pictures of events where you are bringing value to humanity using your gifts, skills, experience, knowledge and the grace of God.
This means you are to be prepared for that journey. It is not something you just wake up and say yes my DREAMS are valid and ready to be served to my generation, you must first cook your dreams. What does cooking your dreams mean?
It is simply means taking every aspect of your dreams and asking yourself, what level of capacity building do I need for my DREAMS to become realities? What skills, trainings, courses, knowledge and mentoring do I need for my DREAMS to become realities?
These are questions you must give answers to and then implement if you want to get your dreams to become realities.
KNOW AND START FROM A BEGINNING:
The day I found out that big DREAMS never become realities until you know the starting point and begin, you may end up in the grave never seeing those big dreams come to pass. Yes I know your dream is to build a big global business in the area of clothing and shoes but can you start from somewhere?
Starting small is the beginning to seeing your big DREAMS turn into realities. The big DREAMS you have, look at them critically, get the part which should be your starting point then begin with what you have.
There is always something you have which can be used to start your big DREAMS, what is that thing in your hand? Find it and start, stop waiting for everything to be perfect. Start now and grow from there. Remember if you don't start small then your big DREAMS may never become realities.
