There are some times when you just try to catch a glimpse of the online world and then boom!
Your old college mate is posing beside her car in a picture captioned: "When you work for the money, it comes to you; Thank you Jehovah, my Ferrari is here!"
I know that feeling, I know you want to express how much you work hard too.
I know you have always wanted a small car, at least.
But here is someone who you probably were the one who helped her with some school works back then, but now doing so well that you doubt if she will regard your simple "hi" considering your difference in status now.
Some people, it's in their journey of seeking admission into tertiary institutions that they feel their friends have left them behind and they just want to go into hiding.
But pause and think about this for a moment:
Have you thought about the fact that when God created you, He didn't measure your breakthrough with that of anyone?
Or maybe you don't know: We are not even in competition with one another. We met ourselves on earth, each person with his own purpose and time to fulfill it.
The fact that "A" seems to be doing better than you now, as long as you are sure that you have ticked the right boxes shouldn't make you feel bad or even become jealous of the other person.
Some people have out of their impatience gone ahead of their time, and you know what? It will always tell!
Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. So the holy writ says.
Next time that thought comes to you, do these three things:
✔️Take a look at yourself in the mirror
✔️ Smile
✔️Say to yourself: I am the next to testify
If you sense jealousy in your heart:
Intentionally check that post that made you feel so, send a congratulatory message to the person involved and watch that envy melt away.
Work hard but wait for your time.
Be inspired by other people's success but never get to a point where you are intimidated.
You are made for a purpose, the vision will speak at the appointed time. Though it tarries, wait for it!
I love to see you fulfill purpose.
Yess..the sooner we stop comparing ourselves to other people the better. We're each running our own race and everyone has their time.
