Quick note before we get started...
This post is all about Crypto Domains. To join me in taking advantage of this insane-potential asset class, hop over to Unstoppable Domains to claim your domain! (By using my link, you'll receive $10 your first order.)
Alrighty, let's dive in!
What is a crypto domain?
A crypto domain (specifically ".Crypto") is an extension similar to ".com", with a couple of key differences:
1. It can be used to create censorship-resistant websites (as opposed to .com and others, which can be swiftly deleted by the internet overlords should they ever choose to)
2. Far more important in my opinion...it can be used as a substitute for crypto transaction addresses. In other words, if your friend owes you .01 BTC, would you rather ask them to send it to:
a) %#hlkd*fdgL*5*Y&@YGgfd&C#(J*POL#CXIOPEUJCOIUDSCG@^&%@#C
or...
b) jamessmith.crypto
The answer should be obvious.
As demonstrated by instant-payment services like Venmo and Cashapp, people put tremendously high value on convenience, as long as it doesn't sacrifice other important factors, such as security.
This is where the excitement sets in if you're a hustler at heart...
If these new domains have even HALF the potential of ".com" domains (which have zero use in the financial sector, mind you), we could be looking at an absolute goldmine of an opportunity.
Should I get one?
You should always do your own research, but in my opinion, ABSOLUTELY. Here are my main cases for why you'd be crazy to overlook this:
#1: .Crypto domains make it easier for people to pay you.
The simplest reason why you should pick up a .Crypto domain is for its most fundamentally-useful purpose: making it dead simple for people to pay you crypto.
This is especially important if you run a blog, YouTube channel, or any other type of online business. It should be your top priority to streamline your fans' ability to tip you in seconds--not fiddle with copying, pasting, and double-checking these giant addresses in fear of making a mistake. Not to mention...we've all experienced websites where we actually cannot use copy/paste functionality for whatever reason. In these cases, mega-long addresses are actually impossible to use.
A simple, memorable .Crypto domain fixes this.
#2: .Crypto domains are one-time payment.
The 2 main types of .Crypto domains you'll find on Unstoppable Domains are Standard ($40) and Premium ($80).
Both are one-time payment!
Compare this to legacy domains (.com, .co, .org etc.) which you must pay an annual fee to maintain. That means once you buy a .Crypto domain on Unstoppable Domains, it's yours for life! (unless you decide to sell it of course...which I'll get to in PART 3).
#3: They have insane asymmetric potential
Asymmetric opportunity (noun): When the risk of a purchase is exceeded multiple times by the profit opportunity.
Similarly to cryptocurrency in general, the the long-term price ceiling is arguably going to be either zero, or millions.
But since the current cost per .Crypto domain is miniscule compared to its potential future value, it's no mystery why so many investors are salivating over them!
Alright I'm convinced, let's do it!
