Bitcoin Billionaires by Ben Mezrich (2019)
The Gist
Bitcoin Billionaires is a story of how the Winklevoss twins licked their wounds from a lost Facebook battle with Mark Zuckerberg, and went on to become leading figures in the early days of Bitcoin investment.
Thoughts
This is the first Crypto Book I've read that wasn't strictly informational in format, so I wasn't quite sure what I was getting myself into. After finishing it up, I can say with 100% confidence that my expectations were blown out of the water.
Ben Mezrich absolutely nailed it with this one. The way he writes makes it feel like you're watching a movie, filled with detailed descriptions and backstory of every character involved in the wild west days of cryptocurrency. By the end, you'll be even more excited about being part of this crazy story, since there's little doubt that in the larger scheme of things, we're all early adopters of this crazy technology as well.
While this book isn't specifically focused on educating on the technical data behind Bitcoin, I still learned a TON about the history of the industry. It was a great change of pace from the technical, heavy reading that my previous Crypto Book reviews have covered, and for that reason, I 100% recommend it for everyone from beginner to expert.

An extremely entertaining book, ideal for anyone curious about how the story of Bitcoin came to be.
In my opinion, it's a must-add to any crypto enthusiast's bookshelf.
Bonus fun fact: It's been confirmed recently that this book is being made into a MOVIE! This is extremely exciting for all of us in the crypto space, since it'll bring an enormous amount of attention to the field. I can't think of a better time either, given how angry the general public is with the centralized power structure of today's corporations and government.
