Major causes throughout the world have been financed and supported by crypto-currency funds. Here are a few of them.
Child Hunger in Africa:
Hunger is the first health risk in the world, killing more people every year than AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis combined. In East African countries such as Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, a child only needs $0.3 a day to have breakfast and lunch.
Binance Charity is dedicated to battle hunger by focusing on food charity for school children in Uganda.
Internet Archiving:

In december 2017, "Pineapple Fund" is funding a programme to provide a basic universal income for rural Kenyans in financial distress. Pineepple Fund has already donated $5 million to GiveDirectly (5000 BTC), a non-profit organization that helps families in East Africa. GiveDirectly transfers funds primarily to Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda.
The Syrian Cause:
The civil war in Syria has been raging for more than 7 years now. Unicef has set up a campaign to encourage gamers to mine Ethereum for the benefit of Syrian children.
In february 2018, this project called Game Chaingers proposes to video game players to use the computing power of their graphic card to raise funds to help the children of this country.
American public schools:
In march 2018, the Ripple Company donated to DonorsChoose.org to help U.S. public schools fund projects and purchase school supplies.
DonorsChoose is a U.S. charity founded in the Bronx in 2000. Their fight is to make education accessible to all and help fund educational projects.
Ripple has made a substantial donation of over $29 million in XRP to help American schools.
Hurricane Dorian:
Since 26 August 2019, Hurricane Dorian has affected Caribbean nations and caused the most serious damage in the Bahamas.
Dorian is one of the most powerful hurricanes ever recorded in the North Atlantic.
It struck the Bahamas in category 5, the highest category, and killed 43 people with mterial damage amounts to several million dollars.

Fire in Australia:

In december 2019, Justin Sun, the creator of Tron, expressed his willingness to support young activist Greta Thunberg with a $1 million donation of cryptography.
