🛑 Extra breasts can be seen as a complete breast if both a nipple, areola ( dark area around the nipple), and breast tissue are present.

🛑 If breast tissue is present without a nipple or areola , you might notice it as a lump or swelling under your skin.

🛑 An extra nipple may look like a freckle, a mole or a dimple, or it may look like a typical nipple - this is usually smaller.

🛑 Extra nipples are more common in men and can run in families.

🛑 These nipples are usually found below the breast or underarm while extra breasts are usually found in the armpit.

🛑 Many people dont realise they have this until there's a change in hormones in the body eg during adolescence, menstrual cycle, pregnancy and breastfeeding.

🛑 Some new moms might notice breast milk coming out of their skin where it isn't supposed to. Breast pads can help with catching extra milk.

🛑 Other new moms might notice a swelling in their armpit when breastmilk production begins. This does not affect breastfeeding in any way. Usually cold presses help with swelling and discomfort. You don't need any medication for this.

🛑 Having an extra breast or nipple usually isn't a problem. Just like any other breasts, you can get an inflammation, mastitis, abscess, cysts, non-cancerous lumps or cancerous changes in these extra breasts.
