We all love Christmas, but how much do any of us actually know about why Christmas is the way Christmas is?
12 Facts about Christmas
1. Jesus was not born on December 25 or in winter
Jesus was likely born in the spring when shepherds were watching over flocks by bight because little lambs were being born. It wasn’t, until 4th century that Roman Catholic Church decided to celebrate birth of Jesus on December 25 coinciding with saturnalia, a pagan festival.
2. The Wise Men did not visit Jesus
By the time magi arrived, one or so years had likely passed and Jesus would have been a toddler (Matthew 2:11)
3. Jesus was not born in a stable or barn
Manger is actually a guest chamber inside homes where people live in the first floor while small animals were kept on the ground floor
4. There were not 3 wise men. The Bible actually doesn’t say how many magi visited Jesus.
Tradition just assumes there were three men because three types of gifts were given
5. All letters addressed to Santa in the United States go to Santa Claus, Indiana post office
A small group of people actually read and write a reply to the thousands of letters

Santa Claus is based on a 4th Century Bishop St. Nicholas. As for the red suit. It was an artist who made the first rendition of the fat smiling Santa in Red. He based his concept on the poem "The Night Before Christmas". And Coca-Cola popularized this image with Santa holding a bottle of Cole. (I also thought that Coca made that image)
