Don't always show up as a company or an organisation that is only restricted to making sales, be human as possible. Behave like human first before promoting anything to people.

Being human is all about being:

👉 Appreciating

👉 Admiring and

👉 Engaging

Humans value relationship so much; they admire someone that admires them. It's just how the universal theory of give and take works.

The best way to connect with people is by knowing them. Before you pitch your product, win their heart first by being caring, admiring, appreciating and engaging―value their relationship.

The right way to value human relationship is to stop behaving like a sales person whenever you show up to promote anything.

About 3 days ago, I got a notification of a friend request from an unknown person; I sent him an introductory message of myself as usual, immediately he sent me many details about his company, products and services.

He didnt even introduce himself as human but as a company. So, I just quickly glanced through and continue with my other activity on facebook.

This is absolutely not the right way to do business with people. If you are one of these kinds of people, you'd want to start being HUMAN.

Listen! Social media isn't just called 'social media' for anything.

In fact, it is NOT for selling; the main reason why it isn't called selling media but SOCIAL MEDIA.

You can't sell anything unless you give value first. Your relationship is more valuable to them than anything, so value them first, and then sell to them immediately.

Before you talk about your products or services, start a CONVERSATION FIRST.

Stop the habit of promoting your products or services every time you show up online.

Selling on social media isn't just about making post of what you sell, its about being HUMAN.

Make them know that you care about them a lot, and then you can start to tell them what your business is all about.

Remember, you are just meeting them for the first time, don't rush things with them. Ask what's bothering them and how you can be of help to them.
