A busy bar is a great bar! You should always want to work at a spot that is busy. This means great money, with great money means you should care. The level of care can be directly correlated to the success of the bartender's pocket and that of the business. People frustrate most bartenders, but it sucks when fellow bartenders and staff frustrate each other. That does not make for a tight unit.

At times, bartenders contemplate their current life and think about possible alternatives. Hence the beginning thoughts on a slow night to start the writing of these thoughts down.

"You're just committed to certain patterns of behavior because they helped you in the past. Now those behaviors have become more harmful than helpful. The reason why you can't move forward is because you keep applying an old formula to a new level in your life. Change the formula to get a different result." - Emily Maroutian

As business grows and reaches varying levels, steps are needed to help fulfill those needs. Growing pains are a necessary part in life. Change the previous formula in how you have done business to something that allows more leverage, scale up.

Frustration must never be taken out on customers, however, like most people we must all vent at sometime in our day. A salty bartender is the worst thing imaginable when sitting at a bar. A bartender who doesn't pull their weight sucks to work with.

For all people have the issues they struggle with on a daily basis. They find a way to cope, and many end up at the bar more so to just hang out with friends, or meet individuals of the opposite sex.
