This article is very good introduction for a beginner. I started blogging with Blogspot for the same reason I started blogging with WordPress. It was a free blog publishing platform I was new to the online world and I figured it's best to try using something that's free. Don't buy a domain and pay for web hosting, IF you don't even know if you're going to be successful.
In the beginning … both of my blogs on both platforms were deleted. LOL. ~ With Blogspot, once the blog was deleted I could no longer use that URL. ~ By contrast with WordPress, they offered to clear all of the blog content and let me keep my old URL and start again. That was the bad news.
The good news is that neither platform banned me!! Whatever my “blogging sin” was, it was forgiveable. LOL. Which meant that I was free to try again. Using Blogspot is super easy and the best thing is that it is easy to apply for Ad Sense approval so that you can monetize your content. I would advise all newbie bloggers to get started with Blogspot first.
