Life is a journey. My parents used to say that if you want to be a successful person, you have to go to school as high as possible. Because the key to one's success is education. That philosophy is firmly entrenched in my mind.

Over time, that philosophy slowly began to fade. There is a Javanese philosophy that is more relevant today. That is, smart people lose to lucky people.

Actually, I've heard that wise saying a long time ago. Recently, however, the friendship has deepened. His mind wandered a lot when I was in elementary school, junior high school, high school, and university.

Because now, getting good grades in education is not a guarantee of being a successful person in the future. Some college graduates with high GPAs do not guarantee that they will become successful people in the future.

You can imagine how ordinary your academic colleagues used to be, but now they have become successful people at the legislative, executive, and judicial levels. People who go to college now are successful people.

I also remember the success of Susi Pudjiastuti, who only graduated from high school. Susi has proven that with a not-so-high education, she is able to occupy a ministerial seat and become a successful entrepreneur.

Sometimes I frown too much. How do lucky people rank higher than smart people? So what's the point of studying hard to be smart or at least being considered smart? If it turns out, intelligence will be surpassed by luck.

But don't worry, luck doesn't happen by chance. Because to be lucky, you have to be smart first. Since a person is on the path of fortune, the indicator must be education. On the one hand, intelligence can be a bridge for lucky people.
