Seven Pancuran Hot
As the name suggests, there are a total of seven showers through which water flows. Pitu comes from the Javanese language which means 7. The water from the seven showers is hot.
The location of the Pancuran Pitu Baturraden is actually in the south of Mount Slamet with a height of 28 meters above sea level (masl), making it the highest mountain in Central Java.
The water source is hot because it is located near the magma chamber of Mount Slamet. Besides the Pancuran Pitu , the Guci area in Tegal Regency, which is located on the slopes of the highest mountain in Central Java, is also famous for its many natural hot springs.
Located on the southern slope of Mount Slamet, Pancuran Pitu is also surrounded by beautiful forests. If you look to the north, you can see that the forest on the slopes of Slamet is still thick.
There are many ways to enjoy the natural hot water from this Pitu shower. You can swim or wash your feet in the shower. You can also soak in the available hot tub. From a distance, Pancuran Pitu looks like a crater because of smoke rising from the hot water. Not only from the shower, hot water flowing from the cliff also emits smoke.
Hot water from the Pancuran Pitu is also high in sulfur, so it is good for skin health. This tourist attraction also provides massage services or body scrubs with sulfur powder.
If you want to feel the sensation of taking a sulfur bath at home, there is also sulfur powder that you can take home. When you get home, you can mix powdered sulfur with warm water, to bathe in warm water mixed with sulfur.
