Explorers have used compasses and maps for a century to explore and achieve treacherous territories. There are many important aspects on maps one of these is the key at the top. Another important aspect is the scales that look like a ruler on the map. Compasses are also a very important tool a compass must anyhow point north. The compass was invented in 2100 year's back. Both tools have substantiated to be very useful to explore in the wild.

Maps have a key at the top of the page that is color code most of the time, the key shows you things like how high above sea level you are or what type of terrine is in the area. The scales on a map are measured in kilometers, kilometers is a mile. This is put there so that you know how far it is from point X to point Y. Elevation and sea levels are on most maps sea level is 0. Maps are great but sometimes you need to know what way you are facing, compasses were invented back some decades. They carried a black stone known as the lodestone and rubbed a needle against witch magnetized the needle. This is how explores made their compasses until the fiftieth(15th) centuries. When they were tightened to round cards this permits for accurate reads. Compasses react to the earth magnetic filled, compasses constantly point north no matter where you are in the world.

Although that old explores were clever without a map they would not have got very far. Maps might be important but so are compasses. Having a map is not the solution to go anywhere you want, that map must be attached to a compass to know your exact location and where to go. If you don't have a map attached with a compass you will not know where to even start and you can be easily be misplaced by your direction. Compasses and maps go together without both you could get lost in and not know where to go.

In brief, a map is a symbolic representation of specified characteristics of a place, usually drawn on a flat surface. nowadays the map is been designed and program on our mobile device.

In conclusion, Maps are generally accepted as precise and accurate, which is true but only to a point. A map of the entire world, without distortion of any kind, has yet to be produced; therefore it is vital that one question where that distortion is on the map that they are using. Moreover, using a map with a compass attached to it greatly and simple.
