The secret of the virtue of Istiqomah

"Indeed those who say "Our Lord is Allah, then they strengthen their istiqomah, then angels (Divine Power) will descend to them saying, do not be afraid and do not feel sad and be happy you get (Nur) Jannah which Allah has promised you (Q.S. Fus-Shilat: 30).

"Istiqomah is a degree of perfection, whoever achieves istiqomah means getting the main virtue. Therefore, anyone who does not achieve istiqomah in his inner behavior, then his struggles and efforts are in vain", (Syeikh Abu Qasim Al Qusyairi in the book Ar-Risalah). If we look at the life and heavy mission carried out by the Apostles, Prophets, Guardians of Allah, and holy people and great figures in all areas of life, they cannot be separated from trials and severe trials. Their life journey has achieved great success, so they should be an example for our struggle. One of the keys to great success is istiqomah. They have great success tips through istiqomah. This great and glorious success will only be a mere falsehood, if someone has never taken the way of living with istiqomah.

Living with istiqomah means having determination in carrying out faith and good deeds both outwardly and inwardly. Consistency, discipline, routine, continuity, independence, firm stance with a view that focuses on only one face, namely the face of God.

For those who are heading to the path of Allah, even those who have reached Him, then stay grounded and walk on the path of istiqomah itself. There is not the slightest practice shifting and changing in any situation and condition, including the secrets that are in his own mind.

Istiqomah always gives birth to karomah, and karomah that is not accompanied by istiqomah, is not the real karomah. It could be a worshiper of God. Behind the key to great success is istiqomah, there are a number of temptations that can shake our hearts, and even frustrate someone who is treading the path of istiqomah. The higher the degree of Istiqomah of a person, it means that a servant will be closer to Allah, more united with Allah and more firm with Allah.
